The Road 431 Project is a
portion of the Cross Israel Highway that consists of a large
interchange with six precast segmental box girder bridges.
The bridges will be constructed in balanced cantilever and
will utilize external tendons for the continuity post-tensioning.
This project will be the first use of external post-tensioning
tendons on an Israeli bridge structure. The project has over
19,000 sq. m. of deck area with span lengths ranging out to
62m.
Finley Engineering Group is providing superstructure design
and construction engineering services. Construction Engineering
services include shop drawings, temporary support design,
construction analysis, casting geometry, post-tensioning calculations
and erection manuals.
