Covered Bridge over Kennebec River

This project is a 567' long bridge with an AASHTO prestressed concrete beam approach span on either side of a 302' concrete arch span. The bridge is a replacement for the 590 foot long eight span structure consisting of four concrete tied arch thru spans and four concrete T-beam approach spans that carries Route 201 over the Kennebec River with a traffic count of 12,000 vehicles per day. The conceptual sketches and plan details provided were used as the basis for FINLEY's review and estimates for the bridge. We performed a constructibility review, a peer review of the design concept and contract documents; and a contractor's construction estimate and schedule.
