The Cliffs Communities - Scenic Bridges

As the primary Engineering Design firm for Saddlebrook Construction, Inc., FINLEY has provided for the Cliffs Communities numerous bridge plans that are both efficient to construct and aesthetically pleasing. The Cliffs Communities are high end residential developments located throughout the Appalachian region of western North and South Carolina. The bridges are comprised of precast, prestressed hollow cored slabs transversely post-tensioned, with spans ranging from 25 feet to 60 feet. They are supported on either cantilever abutments with spread footings or steel piles with a concrete cap. Aesthetic details include rock veneer facing on all barriers, natural preservation of creek beds, as well as an arched stone façade with matching lighted end posts.
