We currently have the following openings at FINLEY Engineering Group:

Provides technical, operational and management direction for every phase of large bridge projects. A B.S, with an M.S. in Structural Engineering preferred. Must have +/- 15 years of significant project management, design and construction engineering bridge experience, a Professional Engineering license and advanced usage of structural analysis software. Establishes the program requirements for all areas of the project and monitors the draft and final deliverables for adherence to these criteria. Ensures that all goals and milestones are met or exceeded. Works with managers and project engineers to develop budgets, schedules and plans. Will be responsible for business operations, oversight of all technical work, and managing, mentoring and developing engineering staff. Proven ability to manage projects, excellent written and oral communication skills and comprehensive knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required.

This position requires a BS in Civil or Structural Engineering, MS preferred. Candidates must possess engineering experience in advanced bridge design and construction, and must have a Professional Engineering License and 7 – 10 years experience. This position requires the following skills: worked on major bridge engineering projects, primarily using segmental, concrete, or steel construction and incorporating American and International Design Standards. Proficient in detailed bridge design and construction engineering, using advanced structural analysis software. Prepares engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys and designs; completes drawings, specifications. Reviews submittals. Provides technical guidance to CADD Technicians and junior Engineers.

 
This position requires 2-year technical degree or certificate of completion from an accredited designer/drafter course (or equivalent), as well as 8-10 years of relevant experience. Applicant must be proficient on a CADD workstation to prepare difficult and complex layout and design drawings utilizing theoretical and practical design knowledge. Interprets and ensures conformance to applicable standards and codes, as well as company policies and procedures. Must be proficient in MicroStation and Geopak Rebar software programs. Works closely with other CADD technicians, as well as Bridge Design Engineers.
Position requires a Florida P.E. license with +/- 10 years in advanced bridge design and construction engineering experience on complex major bridge projects, using concrete and/or steel construction. A B.S, with an M.S. in Structural Engineering preferred. Must be proficient in detailed bridge design and construction engineering using advanced structural analysis software. Will be responsible for project budgets, schedules and staffing; subcontractor oversight; and client relations. Must have ability to manage staff, make assignments, and execute the project requirements, balancing excellent design with the business of engineering. Proven ability to manage projects, excellent written and oral communication skills and comprehensive knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required.
